From time to time, contractors may be asked to assist other contractors either within the same station or at another station. Whether you're helping out for a day or several weeks, here’s how to handle contingency operations in PackageRoute.
Short-Term Contingency
If you’re only planning to run a few days:
-
Add and activate the route you’ll be running.
-
Manually upload the manifest for the work area(s) you're servicing via the PackageRoute Web App.
How to upload the manifest via web app:
-
In your Web App, click the Upload feature.
-
Log in to MGBA:
-
Click on the FCC link.
-
Go to the Pick-Up and/or Deliveries tab.
-
Download the individual P&D Excel manifest(s) you want to upload (do not combine manifests).
-
-
Save the file as a
.XLSformat. -
Click Browse in PackageRoute and locate your saved file(s).
-
Drag and drop the file(s) into the upload box at app.packageroute.com.
Long-Term Contingency
If you’re running contingency in another station for an extended period:
-
You may want to add the other ISP operation to your account so you can receive live data.
-
This will ensure that route data, manifests, and driver assignments are automatically synced with PackageRoute.
