You may notice a proration charge on your upcoming bill if a new route was added during a billing period that has already been paid.
How Proration Works
PackageRoute bills in advance for the upcoming month. However, if you add a route mid-cycle, that new route hasn’t been billed yet. In this case, your next invoice will include:
-
A prorated charge for the time the new route was active during the current billing cycle (from the activation date to the end of the current period)
plus -
The standard $20 charge for the upcoming month for that route
Example:
If you added a new route halfway through your billing cycle, your next bill would reflect:
-
A partial charge for the remaining days in the current cycle
-
$20 for the next full month
How to Avoid Unexpected Charges
To avoid extra charges on your bill:
-
Deactivate routes you no longer need before the end of the billing cycle
This ensures you’re only billed for active routes going into the next month.
