How to update the map

The PackageRoute map is powered by OpenStreetMap and Mapbox. While it’s regularly updated, new developments—like added roads, closed streets, or updated addresses—may not appear right away.

If you notice outdated or missing map data, you can submit an update request directly from the app.

Steps to Submit a Map Update

1. On the map view in the PackageRoute app, tap the “i” (info) icon in the bottom-right corner

2. Tap “Improve this map” — your phone’s browser will open to Mapbox

3. Either:

   • Long press on the map to drop a pin at the location you want to update, or

   • Tap “Contribute” at the bottom of the page

4. Choose what you want to update:

   • Address – for specific or general address corrections

   • Road – to report a new road, closed road, or road name change

   • (Other categories available depending on the update type)

5. Add any relevant information, such as:

   • A description of the issue or correction

   • A photo of signage, roads, buildings, or a screenshot from another map

6. Once complete, tap Submit

These contributions help keep the PackageRoute map accurate and up-to-date for everyone.
