To ensure your drivers can access route data, they must be authorized for each operation they work in. If you manage multiple operations or use contingency routes, a driver must be authorized for each operation individually.
Adding or Authorizing a Driver
Follow these steps to authorize a driver to your operation:
-
Open the Drivers & BCs page
Access this section from Settings in either the PackageRoute mobile app or web app. -
Locate the driver in the list
-
Once a driver logs into the FedEx scanner and starts their route, their name and FedEx ID will automatically appear on the list.
-
If the driver does not appear, scroll to the bottom of the list and manually add the driver using the following information:
-
First name
-
Last name
-
Phone number
-
Email address
-
FedEx ID (This must match the FedEx ID the driver uses to log in.)
-
-
-
Authorize the driver
Once the driver is on the list, click Authorize. The driver will now have access to the operation in PackageRoute.
Reauthorizing a Driver
If you receive an error message stating:
"Driver already exist",
this means the driver was previously authorized for the operation and then removed.
To reauthorize the driver, follow the steps in this article:
